We did not plan to get her. She just found her way to us and we are so lucky to have her love.

It was 30°C with scattered clouds. The wind was calm.

Nobody knows it, but you’ve got a secret smile and you use it only for me. Know that song? I’m in love with a boy but also with a dog. I think right now this song applied more to the dog, Ajibo. My sister was in Delhi, visiting from Bangalore and at 3/4 am she woke up to go stand on the balcony. Something she doesn’t do every night, clearly. She looked down and she saw something black which four dogs were attacking. She thought it was a snake. She loves snakes and is trained in catching wild snakes. She went downstairs to discover that it was a kitten! A tiny few days old kitten that these dogs had bitten, broken her spine. But she was fierce and the way she was hissing at the dogs and her sharp claws helped her stay alive. For a while. She was in severe pain, and also had a few fits. We took her to the vet and found out that she would not make it. We fed her tuna which she gobbled up and then she was put to sleep to end her misery. After this shattering experience, me and my sister were sitting outside the animal shelter. An old man came with two fat puppies. He asked us to hold them while he parked his car. After that he never came back. We were stuck, the shelter said they would not keep the puppies because the puppies mostly contract a lot of diseases at a shelter where many sick dogs visit. We took both the sisters home. One, unfortunately had Jaundice and had to be quarantined. We took her back to the shelter. At first I thought we could keep both of them after she got well but soon reality came around. We live in a tiny house and two dogs are not the same as one. We tried to find her in the shelter but there is a strict hour for visitors and whenever we have gone to find out, the doctor is out or the attendant is out or they think she is dead; in all the confusion of that day - she was not registered under a number so we still dont know if she made it, is at the shelter or otherwise. I will find out. Ajibo however is healthy and crazy and loving and is the best thing in the world for our souls.

Boshika and Shu said thanks.
