Leaving the Cape after an all too brief respite from ordinary life.

July 17th, 2013, 11am

It was 30°C. The breeze was light.

It’s always about here, 30 min or so from the Bourne Bridge, where I start to feel like I’m actually headed back to reality. The combination of old fishing culture and seasonal transients, on top of sandy geology, gives Cape Code a unique quality that blends into the rest of Massachusetts as you move away from the canal.

Part of me is eager to get back to work, feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the next big thing. On the other hand, a few more days in the sun and on the water wouldn’t hurt.

Chris said thanks.
