The last of the box of 100 postcards, in the mail. So that they're all postmarked Boulder.

April 26th, 2014, 4pm

It was 20°C. The breeze was gentle.

I’ve been sending one of these every weekday to the same man for the better part of a year - taking a break at some part of my work day to draw one out of the box in my desk drawer, pen a silly little note, add a stamp (purchased in sheets of 20 from the drugstore with the extension post office, on the way home from work), and drop in the big blue boxes near the bus stop.

When all the moving plans became real (or at least etched in Jell-o), I counted the remaining postcards and figured out I had to send two a day until my last day on the job. The arithmetic worked out perfectly, actually, and while I’m not superstitious I’ll appreciate it for the gift of randomness that it is.

Christine and Sanna said thanks.
