It’s a bit unusual to see people eating away from a table in Japan. Not completely unheard of, but not something you see everyday.

All of which made it all the more odd to see a schoolboy chatting to his friends while casually eating ice cream with a set of chopsticks. Given the heat, it really wasn’t a bad idea as he seemed to be able to get in a lot more in one bite than is usually the case with the tiny plastic spoon you’re given.
