I spent the day with my darling nephew. We walked into town by the river, and he suddenly lay back in his pushchair and opened his mouth and let out a huge gasp. He was looking in awe at the clouds, and reaching out to touch them. We told him they were soft and fluffy and his hands were moving as if he was squishing cotton wool buds. A child’s sense of wonderment at the most ordinary things reminds me to experience things anew.
