Old paths. There is an advantage to living in one community for a long while.

( In Ghana if you live in an area or community long enough you could end up as the assembly man.)

I have been living in this community for a while now - for 10 years. I am not someone who dreams of long relationships, but any relationship I begin barely ever ends.

I was home. It was a weekend. And I was bored, so I decided to take a walk…. an old path.

Old paths bring home memories;It’s a trail of past dreams, hopes and possibilities;Walking old paths allows you to go back in time;To see yourself as you were then - and instantaneously - what you are now;It allows you to realise how stupid you were to think somethings were never going to change - And also helps you to realise dreams can be realised - And why you should continue to dream;It allows you to see what change really means;How life 15 years ago is totally different from life today yet still the same.

Old paths are like the roads between now and then. And walking them allows you to see yourself in the light of how your thoughts in the past has shaped your today - and how your thoughts now are going to shape your future.

Old paths allows you to reminisce. It allows you to see what you defined as fun and boring in realtime. It allows you to chuckle - at how life’s amusements can quickly change. This is where you can make sense of your shadow. That part of you that represents your past and your future.
