I’ve been to more parks in a single trip to Iran as compared to the last four years in a university situated next to the Singapore Botanical Gardens.
Many Iranians spend their weekends and free time chilling in the parks. Some of their parks are huge, and rather elaborate with chair lifts and even water slide play grounds. Most of the time, it is time with the family at a picnic with kebabs and open fire, accompanied with Shisha to laze the afternoons away.
We spent many of our days sitting around in parks, talking and observing how Iranians went about their daily lives and many times, we were approached, greeted and even offered food.
