Real or just pretending?

August 29th, 2014, 7pm

We were driving back from Valencia and took a detour to see the lake. We didn’t expect the sunset, we didn’t expect the row of photographers lined up with their tripods, we didn’t expect the couple of the jetty.

I am pretty sure the photographers were there because they knew this was a sunset spot and they’d read the weather well.

I don’t know if the bride and groom were real or just pretending.

When I was a kid I sang in a church choir. I never knew then if the brides and grooms were real or just pretending. Maybe that’s why I was in my forties before I surprised myself by getting married.

As we drove off I was thinking if you were going to have the sun in your wedding pictures, you might want a sunrise rather than a setting.
