You grow through projects.

December 7th, 2014, 9pm

I have been working on magazine projects since the age 17. I haven’t come out with a successful magazine yet. This is the fifth magazine project I’m working on. Being 7 years down the line I realize all that I have learned about the market is taking shape in this project. And all the lessons, I should have learned but didn’t is making my head ache; having so many design ideas I can’t actualize. But there is one thing I have seen: how appreciating failure can affect subsequent projects. You can’t but grow. And really your skills only become skills after they’ve been tested in the fire of a project.

Christine, Dani and Sel said thanks.

I write. I sketch. I mull over things and I think about alternatives. http://incitedrafts.wordpress.com @sammidelali
