I usually carry some kind of book around to draw and write in. It helps me make connections between thoughts I’m having, but it also gets me truly interested in the world around me. These two pages are sketches of tree bark patterns and English Bay, a beach in Vancouver. While both are pretty common sights here, I like to take a moment and draw how I see them. In doing so, I feel it somehow gets me to appreciate them in my own way.
Is this what we are? Our photos turn our lives into just a bunch of colours on somebody's infographic?
