This is the only porch left in Sweden, due to the famous Swedish anti-porch act from 2003. The effects have been significant across the board. Swedish health authorities see a massive reduction in smoking which remains allowed only in dedicated “smoke bunkers” for the clinically addicted. Fires from porch barbecues have been virtually eliminated, as well as respiratory diseases from porch induced exposure. This porch in Upplands-Väsby is the only one preserved for scientific and historical reasons. Since it’s normally closed to the general public I was lucky to be granted a few minutes for capturing the mood of a bygone era.
Just kidding (in case you wondered).
