Sweet Sweet Slumber

April 24th, 2015, 9pm

It was 34°C with few clouds. The wind was calm.

It is moments like these when the night has fallen to the loving caress of a swift cool breeze after a warm brisk sunny day, and the moon is sky high, peeking endearingly from the patches of clouds, that I begin to wonder, whether it is me stealing those moments from the night or the night letting me in. Looking at the waning moon dozing off to a sweet slumber under the comfort of the clouds, glancing one last time towards me as it comes out from the rim of the cotton blanket that the clouds have become, wishing me a sweet night and then falling back into the lap of that irresistible softness of the heavens, there is this unprecendented feeling of belonging, of an unspeakable love. And as I close my eyes in those moments to let it all in, I cling to the innocence and the love, to that unspoken smile and adoration I can feel being blessed with.
