'What's in the box?' he wondered.

July 19th, 2013, 12pm

It was 30°C with few clouds. The breeze was gentle.

Around the corner from where I work is the Osaka High Court and the Osaka District Court. A few trees in front of the buildings remind office workers what the colour green looks like.

Waiting there during lunch I spied a man that appeared to either be a surgeon carrying an organ for transplant or, admittedly more likely, a chef working at a sushi restaurant.

As soon as the lights went green, he scurried across the road and past me towards the bridge that leads to Nakanoshima, quickly hurrying to save somebody’s life or appetite.

Mary-Ann, Raphael, Amal, Eri and 5 others said thanks.

I'm an Australian living in Japan. I don't eat peas as much as I once did.
