I’ve rearranged my desk three times this week. After finally getting fed up at folding my 6’5” frame into a pretzel to hunch over my laptop and (previously smaller) monitor, I scavenged piles of empty laptop boxes to raise my screen and laptop.
After a co-worker left, I stole his monitor and replaced the 4:3 1024x768 machine with these shiny, new pixels. My eyes thank me. The adjustable height of the monitor thanks me.
And with the stolen boxes, my back is thanking me.
It’s not perfect. It’s not even what I’d like. But it’s better. And sometimes better is all you can do.
What are we all doing here anyway?
