I took in this exhibit today at MCA. It centered on the film ‘Chicago’ by Sarah Morris.
For a few moments everything felt familiar, I was a local- relating to the city I knew, approving shots in the film that I thought made Chicago.. Chicago.
But then the camera zooms into the unfamiliar- reminding me that all this is only temporary, fleeting- and I’m back to being the outsider, observing from within.

It was the end. Maybe not the very end, but 'an' end.
