Utility service boxes are used as painting canvases in certain parts of L.A. This one is from a box at Smith Park in Hollywood (clicking on the image above reveals the whole photo). There’s only about 12 inches between the fencing and the box, so whoever painted this one was working in cramped quarters and with the constant distraction of passing cars (it’s only a few feet from a busy street).
