And then there is that moment—infinitesimal, fleeting, hard—when the source of life reveals itself all at once, and through all the elements… solid, liquid, air. And then it all makes perfect sense, all over again.
So a hi.co friend wondered if or when she’d see me here again. Well… ;-) Actually, now that I’m learning to write in Markup (got Gemmell’s little book last week), I should practice that hereabouts, yes? (Although my penchant for writing in native HTML [1.0!] is a hard habit to break, after a whole decade of writing blog posts with it… every single day, straight. Believe it or not.)
Things have changed a lot since last I wrote here. But of course the landscape here hasn’t. Human time a different dimension entirely from geological time; but as far as the latter is concerned, where I live now is relatively young. Maui is far from being an atoll yet, but eventually that will be its fate—to recede under the surface of the ocean, no longer to catch the sun. Such a story enough for me to wish I would still be around to see and feel that. One can imagine, though; and for now, that should be quite enough.
But I am saying goodnight...
not quite, Sanna...

Meanwhile, true wildness is just a breath away, keeping its own counsel, and its judgment in momentary abeyance.
