Among the many odd customs and celebrations in San Francisco, Bring Your Own Big Wheel, may be one of the oddest. Granted there is not as much nudity as Bay to Breakers or the Folsom Street Fair, but any connection between racing children’s toys down the city’s windiest street1 and Jesus’ resurrection is tenuous at best. That didn’t stop some people from dressing for the occasion. My favorite among the various Easter bunnies and chicks was this bright pink Peep. How he managed to navigate given what must have been a very limited field of vision I’ll never know. Maybe this is one of those cases where the less you see, the better.
