Our little casita on Otero is just fifty meters up from the very busy, very narrow Paseo de Peralta. We STOP at this intersection a few times a day. The hollyhocks call attention to the sign, so I think they probably save lives. The sign is there. One can easily discern the octagonal shape and the red background. Not many words start with ST and end with P. I suspect most cars linger just a few seconds longer than they might otherwise. Santa Fe calls itself ‘the city different.’ Vive la différence.
