We are renovating our kitchen and our living space is now confined to our sleeping room and the living room that has become the ‘everything room’. I was working on the couch and calling with a client, when suddenly my dog jumped on the coffee table (yes, jumped and landed gracefully to my surprise) and then just sat there and looked outside.
Normally he’s not allowed to jump on anything, let alone a coffee table!!! But before I told him off, I took a snapshot and smiled,he had found the prefect spot in the house that still felt like a peaceful corner in between all the chaos of our house (see the bike sticking out in the corner).
I have realized I have mentioned my dog a few times in certain posts, so this is why I will introduce him: His name is Tjido, which sounds like chido that in Mexican slang means cool or awesome- hence his name is funny for mexicans, like me. Tjido is an icelandic sheepdog, this is relatively unknown breed. We found out about these dogs when deciding what type of dog we wanted: active, medium size, healthy, smart and preferably not a hunting breed (there are many small animals in the park/forest areas here). I could of course write a whole text about why I love him, but I won’t bore you with those details!
The Great Unbundling
Home, the heart. In an Amsterdam building, about to be torn down, Marjan Teeuwen, built the interior in giant stone piles.
