I remember receiving this paticular pencil on my first day of second grade, in my shiny, brand new classroom...

May 13th, 2016, 8am

where shy Mrs. Stubbs reigned supreme. Those were the days I would deliberately break my pencil so I could procrastinate assignments by standing in line to use the pencil sharpener. Today I found it in the jar of bits n bobs that sits by my mom and dad’s telephone…that they never answer because “only salespeople call that number”. Lots of things change, but pencils are still useful.
