My friend and I spotted this little guy (‘Mantis) crossing the sidewalk during our coffee break. ‘Mantis was standing proudly right in the middle of the walk as thundering giants passed by without a sidelong glance. We feared the throngs of feet might undermine ‘Mantis’s livelihood. I entreated ‘Mantis to move into the grassy bushes by the side of the way with my shadow. As we two giants, newly enlightened by the scope of the world departed, it appeared ‘Mantis send a prayer with us on our way.
Saw her last week for a little advice on a direct address to the heavens.
The wintry sleet beneath my feet, makes me think...
Fall fights back.
A cold day covered in colorful blankets.
Red.
A comfy place I dream of sitting in with a steaming cup of coffee over the coming break...
A leaf captured in time or rock vs. paper.
The color of fall in Indiana.
The burnished brightness of the leaves falling from the trees, kindles in me the desire for the warmth of fire.
