Dark Shadows of 2015

December 24th, 2015, 2pm

It was 26°C with nil significant cloud. The breeze was light.

Not all surprises are good surprises. 2015 has been a year of disappointment and disillusionment for me in terms of losing so many people for no reason. Some friends, some friend’s friends and some parents of friends and some close relatives. As I pen this, I just got a call a young cousin of my dad met with a serious accident and died instantly. Many of them much have left the world much before they should have. Many are still battling for life with serious illness. Every sad news that I heard this year was a surprise and it was not pleasant at all. May be we play in our comfort zone and the best and worst things are achieved in a state of surprise. I think it is Che Guevara who said whenever death may surprise us, let it be welcome if our battle cry has reached even one receptive ear and another hand reaches out to take up our arms. 2015 could be the dark shadows on earth, but 2016 could be its lights which may be stronger in the contrast. Merry Christmas and Happy new year to all.

Samuel and Porter said thanks.
