Goodbye May

May 31st, 2016, 12pm

Yesterday morning for breakfast I had porridge, mixed with strawberries, milk, and honey. It’s a little detail of my everyday life that I forgot to notice before, mostly because a new habit of drinking coffee, reply/sort work emails, then either working several hours on projects or running errands related to my Dad’s paperwork, and then it’s lunchtime. Sometimes I have a day’s notice to the work that tomorrow brings, other times it’s ‘first thing in the morning’ meetings with people who’ve known my Dad for 40+ years.

I can’t say this often enough: I feel so blessed and grateful for all of the loving support from friends, family, and coworkers these past 6 months. Especially those who reached out when I needed it the most on dismal days. <3 Overall, every day is a reminder of how lucky I am to be surrounded by happy people who really truly love me.

The month of June should be a clearer breathing space. I’m still catching my breath.
