When we entered this field, the sheep seemed to be heading our way. At first we were slightly concerned...

At first they had been grazing nonchalantly over to one side of the field. But of course, the minute we climbed over the stile into their territory, their interest was piqued. They made cautious progress towards us, until one or two of the braver — stupider? — creatures broke rank and came closer.

One sheep on its own isn’t particularly frightening, but when a whole group of any animal makes one consistent movement towards you, it can be a little unnerving.

Dave even commented that the little sheep, a breed I’m not familiar with, resembled the Boston Dynamics Big Dog robot. This did nothing to encourage feelings of warmth towards them.

But the closer they came, the more we realised they were little more than a foot tall, and just seemed curious rather than bloodthirsty. Becky made her way over to greet a couple of the friendlier ones, and then we were left alone to continue on our way.

I read lots of stuff about old stuff and new stuff. I love diaries. I take photographs sometimes, and I like to ride my bicycle.
