Lovely dinner with my Airbnb hosts in Hanoi. These antlers are from their mother’s home in the countryside, placed over cow hide juxtaposed in the shape of a deer. On their next visit, they’ll bring back fresh eggs to mix with their rice and favorite furikake! This is the first time that my deep knowledge of Japanese cuisine has excited someone. I’m thrilled.
