Perhaps if I had roamed about taking photos, I probably would have missed or overlooked some of the interesting vignettes of Jersey City. Instead, I probably would have nearly a hundred photos to sort out, and each probably with somewhat vague memories of the sounds, the smells, my allergies, and of some of the people I have encountered. The latter is always my fascination because of my academic anthropology background. Anyway, I think I am becoming a bit comfortable painting outdoors.
