I didn’t have time to visit Alcatraz using the ferry near Fisherman’s Wharf, I will do it next time! But I woke up every morning with this view to the legendary island-prison.
I remember first knowing about Alcatraz watching The Rock with my mother and brother in the late 90s. My mum is a history teacher and she loves telling stories. After watching the movie proceeded to explain us about the island and the many attempts of escape that ended up in prisoners drowning in the sea. She finished her story about Alcatraz explaining about the 1962 Alcatraz Escape and how nobody really knows if the prisoners made it alive or not.
