Wylie’s Baths is an ocean pool at Coogee, NSW. There is a website http://www.wylies.com.au/ that shares the history of the pool.

My wife, Sue, and I have swam there most days for the last month in between visits to the Prince of Wales Hospital in Randwick. The water has been an energising 17 degrees.

We have been fortunate to stay in Beach Street just 100 yards from the baths.

Every time I swim there I think about Mina Wylie (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mina_Wylie) and her remarkable journey.
