I always have reverence for the books that manage to make their way to my heart. I was blessed today with one such amazing book, that I initially never really expected to outshine in the ways it did. Now I just adore it.

Almost Whole by Kopal Khanna is quite a simple yet marvellous piece of work. You have to read it to feel it. The moment I entered the world of Kali and saw her through the eyes of her Ummi, I fell irrevocably in love with it. The author has such poignantly reflected on the simple and complex truths of life and in such a delicate embrace of untainted pure love that it is impossible not to give in to the adoration that I have for this work. Every time I read the letters of Kali, every time she ended them by sending her word and love, I had tears I had no idea were trailing along. This work is just beautiful in everything it conveys. It completes itself in such beautiful ways, makes itself whole with the beautiful light of a pure hearted soul through the eyes of her embodiment of hope. Thank you Kopal Khanna for this beautiful piece of work!
