With hours to go until last night’s Madonnathon, Gabe- my friend, a dancer and choreographer- had to bedazzle the boots he and the other male backup dancer were going to wear (for ‘Vogue’). Turns out he and Deshawn had been wearing these (without sparkles) out-and-about for days to wear them in. These are gorgeous guys and somehow it worked for them. Deshawn is a classically trained ballet dancer so ‘Madonna Backup Dancer’ was a new experience. Regardless, the boots were terrific on stage with my friend Chris as ‘Madonna’.
