Colourful puppet dolls are hung on the peg for patrons to buy and click

September 3rd, 2011, 12pm

Johri (Johari) Bazaar (means market in Persian) is the most famous street in Jaipur. Numerous sellers and artisans can be spotted on this wide stretch and is the main tourist attraction of this colourful desert town. While walking through one of its by-lanes, one can come across cult art products like puppet dolls, which Jaipur is famous for. These puppets are mostly made of wood and paper mache, and are made to resemble kings and queens, adding that extra dash of bright royal colours in your living room, once you purchase them!
