On my way to the opening of a Jordaan art gallery opening, sunset hits the Westerkerk like Ruysdael's finger. Great to be floating over this city; a bike sure helps

How ephemeral this moment was, a mere hint of which caught on camera. I was on my way to an art show, by Roger Hiorns, who like the sun that late afternoon, covers objects in a different light - foam sculptures, car engines in Heisenberg-blue glistening copper sulphate. I love to see life imitating art.
