Main portal at Kamehameha Schools Maui, half past 8. Skies are voggy—Kona winds are general above the islands today.

November 18th, 2013, 8am

It was 21.7°C. The wind was light.

You may not be able to spot him, but that’s my hanai son Pono there, walking through the portal. I had just brought him Nutella sandwiches, as breakfast at school this morning was apparently unpalatable gruel. ::chuckle::

He’s a senior at this school for Hawaiian youth. There is much to say about this educational institution, but it will have to wait until another moment…

Craig and Cassie said thanks.
