We’re re-learning to porch-sit. Learning our new neighbors’ comings and goings.
It rained all day - turns out, Utah has a monsoon season. But as we came home, the sun came out, there were magazines in our inbox, and cold beer in the fridge.
We were all drawn to the porch. Church bells are chiming softly in the distance, clouds dim the sun’s sudden eat, and Dave reads aloud to me about full leather Horween handmade in America boots and hand stitched oiled canvas roll top rucksacks. I doodle notes on the pad in my lap, but mostly sit and listen and watch.
I always felt like fathers day was just a day for people with fathers in their lives.
Things I Learned from my First Half Marathon
Came into my first coupe glass today. Didn't so much inherit it as family circumstances made it available. I decided to celebrate with The Last Word, both boozy and sophisticated.
