The hard Labour

June 30th, 2014, 5pm

Hundreds and thousands of people in India toil hard for peanuts in return. But they are happy with what they have don’t need more than what they can chew. When greed supercedes need we suffer in severe material pain. In the last couple of days as I criss crossed through some hot and hard life across Saurashtra regions in Gujarat I saw how people are just waiting for rains to arrive. This includes the farm owners and most importantly the farm labourers. Billions of funds spent on dams to draw water to these arid regions and after a lot of political gains for many parties and individuals, the people here remains as they were half a century back. Waiting for rain god to bless them
