Help, I'm squashed!

December 11th, 2013, 6pm

It was one of those evenings where an unfortunate combination of circumstances more-or-less guaranteed that the journey home was going to be rather trying!

My first train was late, so I already knew that the chance of missing my connection was quite high. Sure enough, I got to my interchange station almost 10 minutes after the connection would have left.

However, it turned out that my connection had been cancelled, so we all waited for the next train only to discover that this was only four carriages long instead of the usual six, so of course it was already full.

Result? We had to push our way on and just put up with being squashed. One good thing though - we were so tightly packed that there was no danger of falling over!

But it’s OK - I only pay £3600 a year for this. Ho Hum.

David Wade, Cassie, Yiling and Samuel said thanks.
