The key to happiness ?

April 24th, 2016, 9pm

It was 3°C with clouds and visibility OK. The breeze was gentle.

I don’t know how to feel about it, life that is - constantly mixed feelings, constantly mixed situations. I must say it is what you make of it. Waste your time surrounded with negativity and doing things you don’t like might have you walk into a wall. You’ll hate it, you’ll wake up everyday wondering what you did to deserve all this shit. But you got it all wrong, yes, of course, some of us are more privileged and what not- however it doesn’t determine happiness, and that’s what’s most important here. Happiness has millions if not countless of sources. And it’s your job to find out what triggers your happiness, it could be very many things, many different things. Some normal, some out of the norm. As long as it doesn’t hurt you or anyone else, go for it!

What if I don’t know my happiness? Then you have your whole life finding them. Take an art class, try out the soccer team, martial arts, cooking classes. Throw yourself out there. You’ll find out so much more about yourself, that you weren’t aware of. You’ll find out some things that you dislike, but more importantly, you’ll find a new source of happiness to indulge in. This isn’t about imagining a sport, or activity and then deciding if it’s ‘’your thing‘’ or not. This is about actually testing out the activity to really give you the right knowledge if it’s ‘’your thing‘’ or not- which by the way is complete bullshit, the theory ‘’your thing‘’ will never be accurate, or current. You constantly change whether you want to or not. You’d be surprised at how inaccurate we usually picture ourselves. How come the strangest things; most unlikely to suit us, attract us, and are also usually what we end up loving. Of course, we have somewhat of a thought about what we like and dislike, however, that’s just a thought- and will stay a thought. Just a blurry perception of ourselves that constantly morphs into new shapes and colors.

Hello, fellow authors! I'm just a kid with a passion for writing really unplanned, messy and imperfect texts. I hope to improve my writing skills, and also read others work. Have a nice day! xo
