We drove from Pisgah National Forest to stay one night in Red River Gorge, apparently a rock climber’s delight. The morning after (June 5th), we drove the scenic route through the area. Winding roads, steep cliffs, and lush trees all throughout. We drove through the Nada Tunnel, a one lane passage that’s terrifying for those with claustrophobia! It was worth going through to see these South Eastern arches, pictured above.

De Pisgah nos fuimos a Red River Gorge, una maravilla para los escaladores. La mañana siguiente (5 de junio) hicimos una ruta escénica alrededor del parque. Camino de curvas, precipicios, y árboles exuberantes. Pasamos por un tunel escabado en la roca largo y de un solo carril no apto para claustrofóbicos. Menos mal que la furgo es estrecha. Ha merecido la pena visitar los arcos del sureste.
