January came and went.
home.
Feeling completely inspired.
It all began with Degas.
I could stay here forever.
High. Higher. And Even Higher.
"Arriving at each new city, the traveler finds again a past of his that he did not know he had..."--Italo Calvino
You would think that I'd be used to it by now. Being by myself. Sometimes I'd go a day or two or three without talking to anyone in person. But it's never easy and I'll probably never get used to it. Luckily for me, my flatmate will be arriving today to put me out of my "misery" and to get things rolling around here. She's one of those ultra-fiery types. It's going to be great.
London has always been a second home of sorts for me. Nevermind that I've never actually lived there. A quick trip every now and then is all. Over the years, I have compiled a list of cities in which I’d like to live, if only for a year. London was always, and still is, at the top of that list. Needless to say, I always thought that when I'd finally muster enough courage to actually move away from New York City, it would be to London. But because life is all about the detour, I’ll be moving to Rome in T- minus twenty hours for eight months.
