Today I had a conversation with Gisella, the 17 year old daughter of our office cleaning lady.
I love interactions like the one that just happened between myself and a four year old girl standing right next to me on the subway. She was being told off by her mother for something silly, and she pouted until she looked up at me and I smiled and stuck my tongue out, unbeknownst to her mother or any of the other people on the train that are preoccupied to the point of missing those secret little moments of magic. She giggled and hid her face, peeking out behind her mother, and I stuck my tongue out again as she re-appeared. More giggles and still no one but the two of us noticed. She got off at the next stop and as her mother dragged her alobg, the little looked back at me, smiled, and stuck her tongue out at me. I laughed and as the doors closed I waved goodbye, and she waved back, and we closed scene.
Listening to great soul music, wondering if anyone else is catching all the classic hip hop samples.
Brainstorming while staring.
