What a joy it was to re-visit Leeds Castle last Friday and to meet up with an old friend.
Yes, I know it may not be the exact same robin as last time, but if it’s not then I’m sure it’s a brother or cousin or some other close relative!
The song was certainly as beautiful as before. Just as captivating. In fact, I’m cross with myself for not recording it on my phone so that I could share the tune here, but I’m sure for now you can imagine the sound.
I’ve also realised that I’m still, well, not exactly singing, but making a noise at least, on Hi almost 6 months after writing my first moment here. I’ve lost track of how many different “all new” social media sites I’ve dabbled with, only to lose interest after a week or two because there was actually nothing new, or there was no sense of community, or for some other reason. But Hi has held my attention and proved to be a great place where the simple concept of sharing a “picture plus words” moment with a friendly community of fellow momenteers can bring great pleasure and satisfaction and lead to new friendships.
Here’s to the next 6 months!
One year on...
Out of the shadows
Making waves
A castle, a moat, a black swan, geese, spring flowers and sunshine. Not a bad combination!
Learning lessons from the beauty of crocuses
Is this my best side?
An Englishman's home is his castle
Dusky reflections
Birdsong
