For the sake of continuity I’m including this picture, event though I’m sorry to say that I think it’s pretty rubbish! If you check out the Burial Ground topic you’ll see all the pictures from my London Burial Grounds calendar that I have uncovered so far.
When I turned over the page this morning to see April’s entry for the first time I was very disappointed. This is part of the burial ground gardens surrounding the eastern end of St Paul’s Cathedral, but to be honest, this is a very poor photo. It’s been many years since I wandered round outside this cathedral, but it must be possible to get a better picture than this!
Anyway, St Paul’s is home to the tombs of a number of famous people, including the Duke of Wellington, Lord Nelson, John Donne, J.M.W Turner, Sir Alexander Fleming and Sir Hubert Parry.
