End of Protests?

December 10th, 2014, 10pm

It was 16°C with few clouds. The breeze was light.

Tonight maybe it: the end of the protests in Hong Kong. Most people I talked to at the beginning and during the protests thought something like this would never happen. Hong Kongers are too polite and too practical to take over a street or an area. It was thought they would demonstrate on a holiday/weekend as to not inconvenience anyone. It was thought they would be gone soon and everything would move on as if nothing would happen. Something has changed and the hope which came with the protests has created a new path than what was. I am hopeful for the future of Hong Kong and feel the future is brighter today than it was 4 or 5 months ago.
