At the top of the borough, we're surrounded on three sides by water. Looking out my window, I see the East River, and just before it, sits a crane storage facility. Every night, an array of machine parts is adjusted into a new pattern in a giant parking lot. These are the last days of Bay Crane -- soon the parking lot will become a series of soaring towers.
