New york — We had broken up over the summer, and not in a good way. She was back for a week to close the books on her apartment and officially discharge from college. Then she was going back to Japan. I had agreed to drive her to the airport. We said our goodbyes and that was it. I pulled into the driveway and got out of my car. It was a quiet morning, but in hindsight perhaps it was just a regular morning....
New york — As I drove my son and daughter home it was eerily quiet. That type of quiet that’s unsettling, rather than soothing. I peeked over my shoulder at a red light and saw that my daughter had fallen asleep...
New york — Twenty years ago to the day. Maybe fewer, maybe more. Close enough. This very spot I stood, or someone like me, as I was back then. Looking up and down for Coney Island High. I don’t remember the dri...
New york — I found this photo in my rejected images while cleaning up my Lightroom travel photography archives. I took it during a sunset cruise along the East River on my trip to New York about 3 years earlier....

A Poem for my Soul MateChaos defines the realm of fateSea of endless confusion lateIn an ocean of desperationLies an island of salvationAs the stars litter the depths of spaceThe grains of sand, populate with graceThoughts of you, I embraceLike glistening pearls of whiteYour eyes gleam with no contriteRadiant beauty blankets my worldMadness of love unfurledYour eyes and mine have metThoughts of you beset.
