No matter how many flights I take, I can’t help but marvel at the wonder of flying, flight and this amazing feet of engineering which enable us to explore and visit far-flung places.

I’ve been fighting anxiety these past few days, and it was making me not look forward to this trip, but once we’d taken off, I relaxed into it and am now really looking forward to the trip, and my forthcoming holiday.

I watched ‘The lady in the van’ on the flight. It’s a great film, based on Alan Bennett’s writing and life. In it he said that writing and writers were basically talking to themselves. I’ve been accused of not listening to my inner voice enough, so this 100 happy days project and writing is giving my inner voice an outlet.
