An aspen colony grows from a single plant. Instead of dropping seeds, aspens send out new underground roots that then sprout upward in search of sunlight. Above ground, we see a stand of straight, white trunks - each unique from the next. But below ground, the trees all thrive from the same root system, sharing sustenance and tragedy alike. Sounds a lot like humans, really.

Came into my first coupe glass today. Didn't so much inherit it as family circumstances made it available. I decided to celebrate with The Last Word, both boozy and sophisticated.
