There we were, in Greenwich Park, enjoying the range of trees and beautiful flower beds that can be found particularly in the south east corner of the park, when one of the many squirrels hopped out from among the flowers, clutching a large yellow flower head as if it were a trophy. He then proceeded to stand boldly in front of us and munch his way through his golden prize.
“Cheeky thing!” we cried out. “Those are meant for us to enjoy!”
His mouth briefly stopped moving as he cast a disdainful glance in our direction. His eyes, and pose, answered back: “Really? I think you’ll find you’ve got that the wrong way round.”
And so the munching resumed.
