Dust and grit whips through the air, smelling of sulfur. I hear it was a mix up at the chlorine plant west of the city. Temple Square and the surrounding blocks are packed. the light on North Temple and State is out. Traffic creeps between the buses and pedestrians. Mormons in their Sunday dress flock to the Museum, and pushing against them, headed to the conference center, are ComiCon fans: Princess Leia, Indiana Jones, Zelda, a Swiss zombie miss, and hordes of characters and enthusiasts I don’t recognize.
I always felt like fathers day was just a day for people with fathers in their lives.
